God's Redemption Story (The Gospels)Sample

Life & Teachings of Jesus - Day 8
When Jesus performed miracles, people were surprised, amazed, and joyful. But one miracle stood apart for the disciples. They had already seen Jesus change water to wine, give sight to someone born blind, and bring dead people back to life. So when Jesus slept in the boat and a wild storm stirred up, why were the disciples surprised to wake him up and see him stop the storm? What did they expect? That he’d work an oar? He had displayed time and again his power over the laws of nature. Why didn’t they expect him to control the storm and their survival?
What storm are you facing today that looks like your doom? Don’t try to hand God an oar. Ask him to command the wind and waves.
