God's Redemption Story (The Gospels)Sample

Life & Teachings of Jesus - Day 11
Peter was a man of action. You might say he was a ready-fire-aim kind of guy. As we read the gospels, with the benefit of 20/20 hindsight, we find his antics to be rushed and foolish. But he kept his eyes on Jesus—a lesson he learned the hard way. He knew Jesus was the only man who could pull off water walking. He also knew Jesus was powerful enough to help Peter walk on the water too. But when he took his eyes off Jesus, when he looked at the world around him, those waves began to swallow Peter.
Are you facing waves? Do you need to pull off the impossible? Fix your eyes on Jesus and watch his power calm the waves and carry you through.
