God's Redemption Story (The Gospels)Sample

Life & Teachings of Jesus - Day 15
When Jesus said things that were hard for people to understand or believe, attendance tended to drop off. One such day, Jesus asked his closest disciples if they wanted to leave him like the crowds did. I don’t know if Peter was trying to be profound, but his answer in John 6:68 sounds like he was only stating the obvious.
“Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life.”
How often do we try to fill our lives with things that are easy or make us feel good? What if we instead used Peter’s measuring stick? Hold up that thing in your life that you hope will fill you up and make you feel good. If it’s not providing eternal life with God in heaven, put it down and turn to the only one who does. His name is Jesus.
