God's Redemption Story (The Prophets)Sample

Isaiah Week 3 – Day 4
Isaiah 53 reads like a laundry list of all the ways Jesus paid our price. He carried our sorrows, bore our grief, and was pierced for our transgressions. The list goes on. The point is he suffered. But verse 5 tells us there was a specific purpose.
By his wounds, we are healed.
Jesus didn’t have to die. At any moment he could have walked away and left us on our own. But he loved you and me so much that he willingly took the ridicule and shame and beating, he walked on his own two feet to the cross, and he suffocated as he hung—all for you. Come to him and let his wounds be your healing.
