God's Redemption Story (The Prophets)Sample

Isaiah Week 3 – Day 3
Ray Stedman, a pastor in California during the mid-twentieth century, once found himself amused by a typo in the title of a hymn. Instead of “Our God Reigns,” it read “Our God Resigns.”
The typo was surely innocent, but how often do we live out that typo? We live in timidity and fear as if our God used to reign but has recently resigned. We still respect Him, yet we let other people and their “gods” set the rules for our lives. When the reality is that our God reigns, He is as much in control now as He was during the time of the Israelites, as He was when Jesus conquered death on the cross.
Our God Reigns. Then. Now. Forever.

About this Plan

From Genesis to Revelation, “God’s Redemption Story” outlines the narrative of God’s plan for the reconciliation of humanity. This 12-part reading plan summarizes the story of the Bible. As we read through the prophets we see the primary message was to the nations to stop sinning and return to the Lord.
