The Gospel of MarkSample

Jesus Talks to the Rich Young Ruler (Mark 10:17-31)
In Mark 10:17-31 (also written about in Matthew 19 and Luke 18), there's a rich young man who asks Jesus how to earn eternal life. Jesus tells him to sell his things and give it all to the poor, but the man finds that incredibly difficult to do. This story teaches us that our hearts shouldn't be too attached to things in this life. Jesus wants us to care more about God and others than our possessions. It's a reminder that what we value the most shows where our heart is.
Reflecting on the encounter with the rich young ruler, how do Jesus' words about selling possessions apply to us as believers today, and what steps can we take to prioritize our commitment to the gospel over worldly attachments?
