There is so much confusion about the Law in the Old Testament. The Big Picture is that God provides forgiveness and salvation through ‘His sacrifice” and redeeming act. Leviticus is a collection of laws and requirements for God’s chosen people.
When God forgives his people and declares them holy, He calls and expects His people to offer themselves as a living sacrifice in humble, loving obedience to Him (Romans 12:1-2; John 14:21). We are to reflect His holiness in every aspect of our lives because he has made us “holy.”
Think it Over: When you hear the word "offering" what comes to mind?
