REFLECT + FOCUS

The Spirit in you longs for relationship with the Spirit in me, and other brothers and sisters. God’s eternal plan, to create one one family in Christ, advances when we humbly love and serve one another. His plan is hindered when we don’t prioritize or pursue relationships with one another, or when we let things like unforgiveness, bitterness or judgements hinder our relationships.

Psalm 133 says:

How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!...
For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.
Psalm 133:1, 3 NIV

Paul says:

We are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by His Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 2:22 NIV

The Spirit lives in us so we can overflow with His fruit; but also that His presence and fruit; love, joy, peace etc. can flow between us.

Much of the new testament addresses living at peace with one another so we can fulfill His eternal purpose.

This is all based on the cross where Jesus took all our own sin, as well as all our pain of betrayal, rejection, and injustice.

SHOUT

As you declare today’s shout, thank Him for the cross that has both forgiven us for all our sin and unrighteousness, and empowered us to forgive anyone who has offended or hurt us. Repent of judging others and speak out forgiveness and blessing on anyone God shows you.

Be reconciled to your brother;
then offer your praise
