 <div class="p">6Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal.</div><div class="p">In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back. 7The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle. 8Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying:</div><div class="b"></div><div class="qc">&#8220;&#8198;&#8216;Holy, holy, holy</div><div class="qc">is the Lord God Almighty,&#8217;#4:8 Isaiah 6:3</div><div class="qc">who was, and is, and is to come.&#8221;</div><div class="b"></div><div class="m"> 9Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, 10the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:</div><div class="q1"> 11&#8220;You are worthy, our Lord and God,</div><div class="q2">to receive glory and honor and power,</div><div class="q1">for you created all things,</div><div class="q2">and by your will they were created</div><div class="q2">and have their being.&#8221;</div>

 <div class="p">4I looked, and I saw a windstorm coming out of the north&#8212;an immense cloud with flashing lightning and surrounded by brilliant light. The center of the fire looked like glowing metal, 5and in the fire was what looked like four living creatures. In appearance their form was human, 6but each of them had four faces and four wings. 7Their legs were straight; their feet were like those of a calf and gleamed like burnished bronze. 8Under their wings on their four sides they had human hands. All four of them had faces and wings, 9and the wings of one touched the wings of another. Each one went straight ahead; they did not turn as they moved.</div><div class="p"> 10Their faces looked like this: Each of the four had the face of a human being, and on the right side each had the face of a lion, and on the left the face of an ox; each also had the face of an eagle. 11Such were their faces. They each had two wings spreading out upward, each wing touching that of the creature on either side; and each had two other wings covering its body. 12Each one went straight ahead. Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, without turning as they went. 13The appearance of the living creatures was like burning coals of fire or like torches. Fire moved back and forth among the creatures; it was bright, and lightning flashed out of it. 14The creatures sped back and forth like flashes of lightning.</div><div class="p"> 15As I looked at the living creatures, I saw a wheel on the ground beside each creature with its four faces. 16This was the appearance and structure of the wheels: They sparkled like topaz, and all four looked alike. Each appeared to be made like a wheel intersecting a wheel. 17As they moved, they would go in any one of the four directions the creatures faced; the wheels did not change direction as the creatures went. 18Their rims were high and awesome, and all four rims were full of eyes all around.</div><div class="p"> 19When the living creatures moved, the wheels beside them moved; and when the living creatures rose from the ground, the wheels also rose. 20Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, and the wheels would rise along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels. 21When the creatures moved, they also moved; when the creatures stood still, they also stood still; and when the creatures rose from the ground, the wheels rose along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.</div><div class="p"> 22Spread out above the heads of the living creatures was what looked something like a vault, sparkling like crystal, and awesome. 23Under the vault their wings were stretched out one toward the other, and each had two wings covering its body. 24When the creatures moved, I heard the sound of their wings, like the roar of rushing waters, like the voice of the Almighty,#1:24 Hebrew Shaddai like the tumult of an army. When they stood still, they lowered their wings.</div><div class="p"> 25Then there came a voice from above the vault over their heads as they stood with lowered wings. 26Above the vault over their heads was what looked like a throne of lapis lazuli, and high above on the throne was a figure like that of a man. 27I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded him. 28Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him.</div><div class="p">This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. When I saw it, I fell facedown, and I heard the voice of one speaking.</div>

Then he said to it, &#8220;May you never bear fruit again!&#8221; Immediately the tree withered.</div><div class="p"> 20When the disciples saw this, they were amazed. &#8220;How did the fig tree wither so quickly?&#8221; they asked.</div><div class="p"> 21Jesus replied, &#8220;Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, &#8216;Go, throw yourself into the sea,&#8217; and it will be done. 22If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.&#8221;</div>

 <div class="p">1The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. 2He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. 3He asked me, &#8220;Son of man, can these bones live?&#8221;</div><div class="p">I said, &#8220;Sovereign Lord, you alone know.&#8221;</div><div class="p"> 4Then he said to me, &#8220;Prophesy to these bones and say to them, &#8216;Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! 5This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath#37:5 The Hebrew for this word can also mean wind or spirit (see verses 6-14). enter you, and you will come to life. 6I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.&#8217;&#8198;&#8221;</div><div class="p"> 7So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.</div><div class="p"> 9Then he said to me, &#8220;Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, &#8216;This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.&#8217;&#8198;&#8221; 10So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet&#8212;a vast army.</div><div class="p"> 11Then he said to me: &#8220;Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, &#8216;Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.&#8217; 12Therefore prophesy and say to them: &#8216;This is what the Sovereign Lord says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. 13Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. 14I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord.&#8217;&#8198;&#8221;</div>
