Different. Strange. Weird. We don’t think of these as good things. Sometimes it’s hard to be different. The world might lead you to believe it celebrates your different, strange, and weird uniqueness. “You be you,” it says. In reality, it really only means this when you’re different according to its own accepted mold and form.

Make no mistake, God’s way will make you different. You’ll stick out. You’ll go against the grain. You’ll be noticed. It will set you apart from others around you. That will make you strange; often a little odd. Hopefully it makes you noticeable in a good way to those not yet born of God. But don’t be surprised if they don’t know what to do with you. Sometimes they’ll hate you for it. They won’t understand why you think and act the way you do. But if that which makes you different is from God, know that it’s good and true!
