God uses the faithfulness of Ruth and Boaz to bring about His plan. Ruth's loyalty to Naomi and her willingness to glean in the fields led her to encounter Boaz, who was a kinsman-redeemer. Boaz displays righteousness, compassion, and honor, fulfilling his role as a redeemer in chapter 4.
The providence of God often flows through human hands. As God’s image bearers, He works through us to accomplish His purposes, and we represent Him. We are His hands and feet! God is looking for those who are willing to align their actions and their words with His heart. Consider the power of your words and actions today when they are aligned with Him and how we are agents to carry out His divine providence and demonstrate His extravagant love.

About this Plan

The story of Ruth stands as a story of redemption. Coming from tragedy and as a foreign woman, Ruth is the last person we might expect to see the goodness of God. She becomes a key figure in the story of the Bible and the great-grandmother of King David himself!
