Romans Part 3 - LIFE

DAY 35 OF 35

Salvation Through Christ

This life can feel like a cycle of never-ending struggle. Many distractions are thrown our way daily, to tempt us to take our eyes away from the Lord. But, God’s Spirit will lead us and strengthen us to overcome these temptations.

In the book of Hebrews, Paul talks about the Law being brought to the nation of Israel to give the people a definition of what sin is. When we fall short of the Law, we cannot turn to the Law to find help in our darkest moments. Christ brought life to the Law. While Christ did not come to abolish the law (Matt. 5:17), He fulfilled it and brought to it a love that did not exist before He came.

We might currently be in a season of guilt, shame, or frustration for our inability to do what is right. We might feel like we have let God down, but family, there is nothing you can do to let God down. With Christ’s fulfillment of the Law, He also brought eternal forgiveness. Paul tells us that the Law was incapable of bringing salvation. Instead, salvation is found through a relationship with Christ. Trying to adhere to the Law alone will bring frustration rather than improve our relationship with God. Allow yourself to know that all the work has already been done.

Abide in Christ and allow His heart to become your heart. Align your will with His will for your life, and as

Paul says in Romans 8:1, “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
