Welcome to Part 3 of our reading plan through the book of Romans!
Part 1 focused on the reality of our SIN, part 2 focused on our call to FAITH in Christ and now in part 3 we will learn from Paul about Gospel LIFE - the new reality we live in when we embrace grace through faith in Jesus!
Peace and Hope
In Romans 5, Paul teaches how we can have peace with God through faith in Jesus Christ. We have gained access to God by faith in Jesus to the grace in which we stand, a place of undeserved privilege. No sin blocks the glory of God because we have been reconciled to Him through Jesus' sacrifice.
“We also glory in our sufferings because we know that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance, character, and character, hope.”
Faith, hope, and love are the heart of the Christian life, as Paul teaches in 1 Corinthians 13:13: “God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit.”
Romans 5:8 says, "But God demonstrated His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners Christ died for us.”
Paul teaches that we were enemies of God, but God had a plan whereby we might be reconciled to Him by the sacrifice of Jesus for our sins. When we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, we have peace with God and hope for the future.
