God's Plan for the Jesus Follower
Graduation from high school or college can often find young people asking, "What is God's plan for my life?" "Where does God want me to go to college? What course of study does he want me to major in? What job should I pursue when I graduate? WHAT IS GOD'S PLAN FOR ME???"
The great news from God's Word in both the book of Mark and then Matthew makes the answer for the follower of Jesus crystal clear! As Christ-followers, we are commanded to Love God, Love our Neighbor, and Go Make Disciples! It is that simple. Where that will happen university-wise, what university major that will be in, and ultimately what career that will lead to is not the most important thing. If we Love God, Love our Neighbor, and join in the privilege of Making Disciples, our ALWAYS dependable God will work out the details. We just have to be obedient in following the "two greatest commandments" Jesus shared when pressed for an answer from religious leaders and his "Great Commission" to all his followers as he ascended into Heaven!
Will God call some to specific places, specific careers at times? Absolutely. I am a walking testament to that fact! What He calls all of us to do is call on His one and only Son, Jesus, as the Lord of our lives. We are to love Him, love our neighbor, and go make disciples. He will work out the details. He will make it clear and deliver a JOY that ONLY comes from living into these clear commandments! So relax. Our God loves you so much, it will not always be easy, but it will always be GOOD!

How can I make time to intentionally listen for God's voice?
