Seasons
When things are going well in our lives, we rarely question the favor and blessings of God upon us. When things seem to be going wrong in our lives, we doubt if God sees, hears, or is with us.
The story of Joseph in Genesis often encourages us to see the hand of God in all things, even when we don't understand what is happening around us. After Joseph finds himself in prison, the Bible tells us that the LORD was with him and showed him favor with the prison warden. Joseph honored God but still found himself in prison after doing the right thing. Through it all, God knew what he was doing in Joseph's life.
Sometimes things don't work out how we expect, even when doing the right thing. If you are going through a tough season, be encouraged that God is with you even when it doesn’t look like it. God knows what he is doing in your life. God promised he would never leave us, and He can be trusted to keep his promises.
Reflection:
What season are you in right now?
How do you encourage yourself in the Lord in a difficult season?
