When was the last time you stopped and really paid attention to what was around you? Maybe it was something big and breathtaking, like a sunrise on your morning drive to school or something as small as a clover leaf. Both are God’s creations and are designed with intention and detail. Pausing to look at God’s creation all around us gives us a sense of wonder and appreciation for who God is.

Whenever I read this verse, I am reminded of God’s intentionality. This verse captures how vast yet intricate, and in every detail, God is. Everything God made is beautiful and designed to bring worship and glory. “Worship” means an expression of how incredible God is, and “glory” means God gets all the honor for how incredible the created world is. Now, what if I told you this could include you? Just as God made the glorious heavens, God made each one of us to do the same. God designed and created us with intention and purpose. How encouraging to know that “just as the skies proclaim the work of His hands,” we can do the same by living a life that honors and directs attention to our Creator!

I pray that as we pause to see God’s magnificent creation all around us, we will also look inside ourselves and see God's beautiful creation in us. So may we be like the skies, proclaiming goodness and bringing glory to God, the One who is in every little detail.

Today, remember Who made you. Remember, you were created with intention and purpose, designed to glorify God.
