Build the Sanctuary of the Lord We learn from David’s life that he loved God. He was known as a man after God’s heart. From shepherding to kingship, he faced many challenges but was always victorious. He learnt to build a sanctuary for God. As a born-again believer, I loved to do many things in church, which made me so busy and tired, not realizing that I was missing out on an intimate relationship with God. One day I fractured my right foot and was prescribed three weeks of bed rest. On the second day of this forced rest, I decided to worship the Lord. The presence of God filled me to overflowing. In that period of time, I had two dreams, which showed me that I would be without the plaster. The next day, I took an X-ray and the report said that I was healed, but the doctor refused to cut the plaster. On the seventh day, as I was worshipping the Lord, with a gentle voice the Holy Spirit told me to arise and put my foot into the water tub and command the plaster to be loosed from my foot. After sometime, the plaster came off my foot, and I was free. All glory to God alone! Beloved, when we worship the Lord, we build a sanctuary for Him. He dwells in the praises of His people. In our busy life, we miss out on building the sanctuary for God. He is Our God, Our Father. He is the Lover of our souls. He longs for us. He wants to make our burdens light. So, stop running the race alone. Begin to build the sanctuary for God. Draw nigh to Him and He will draw nigh to you. Prayer Holy Spirit, help me daily, to build a sanctuary for God. Amen.
