You are Invited John the Baptist, the forerunner of Jesus Christ, preached to the people, exhorting them to repent so that their sins would be forgiven. He warned them to bring forth fruits worthy of repentance. Beloved, today, we too have this opportunity to repent and acknowledge Jesus as our only Lord and Savior. He is coming back to take home His bride, the Church! All who have turned their lives over to Jesus Christ are part of His body, the Church. Revelation 16:15 (NIV) says, “Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed.” The coming of the Lord is very near. We have to be seen worthy to be taken up with Him at His coming. Therefore, let us guard our spiritual garments and prepare ourselves by living prayerfully, carefully and being watchful and alert, analyzing our lives in the light of the Word of God. Let’s prepare to meet our Creator. We cannot stand on that great day, unless we are washed by the blood of Jesus Christ. No one can stand in His holy presence with sin. Beloved, let us value the sacrifice of Jesus. God’s perfect plan, through the crucifixion and shedding of blood of His only Son Jesus, was that whoever looked unto Him and cried out remorsefully for his sins would be forgiven. Today, God is calling us to repentance. He wants us to live our lives worthy of the calling we have received (Ephesians 4:1). Give your life over to Him and ask Him for the strength to live a victorious life. Prayer Lord, help me to refrain from those things that displease You and are evil in Your sight. Help me be holy just as You are holy. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
