Truth Over Facts God’s Word is truth. No lies. No shades of grey. Just the truth, in black and white. And when you know this truth, it sets you free! You may be going through a challenging situation. But the truth is that God perfects everything that concerns you (Psalm 138:8). There is a clear difference between truth and fact. A fact is something that exists in reality, cannot be changed, is indisputable and universally accepted. But the truth is subjective and dictated by your own personal beliefs. Facts are firmly planted in the physical world, while the truth opens doors for the supernatural. When we talk about ‘truth’, we refer to the things of God that may seem like foolishness to men. If you believe in His truth - what He says about you and your situation - you will be able to live a supernatural life of absolute freedom. Let me explain how this works. The fact is you may be unable to do certain things, but the truth is that the same power that conquered the grave lives in you (Romans 8:11) and you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13). The fact is you may be barely able to make ends meet, but the truth is He supplies all your need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). The fact is you may be living in a tiny house, without means to buy a bigger one, but the truth is He has given you houses you have not built (Deuteronomy 6:10,11). Isn’t the truth liberating? Today, what are you building your life on? The truth of God’s Word or the bitter facts of life? Get into God’s Word and see what He says about your situation. Choose the truth, abide in it, and it will set you free! Prayer Lord, help me hold on to Your truth, abide in it and apply it to my everyday situation, that I may be able to lead that free and abundant life You have for me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
