Draw Near - PositionSample

How old should a king be? Imagine a king who is only eight years old!
The Bible tells us about King Josiah. He became king when he was eight and grew to be a king that obeyed God. It was thanks to Josiah that while the temple was being repaired, the priest found the book of the law, the first five books of the Bible that had been lost many years prior.
Josiah went on to restore the Word of God to its proper place. He gathered the whole nation, young and old, so they could hear God’s Word read to them.
There was no other king like young king Josiah. No other king drew near to God as Josiah did. He obeyed God with all his heart and all his soul, and all his strength. Josiah did everything the Law of Moses, God’s Word, said. He positioned himself in God’s Word. Josiah drew near to God and through His Word.
