Have you ever heard the phrase, "Do as I say, not as I do"? It can be so frustrating, and it could not make sense. For example, someone says, don't lie to others, yet they turn around and lie to you or someone else. If our purpose is to be like Jesus, what does this mean when it comes to our words and actions?
Today's Bible verses discuss how God created us to do good work. The good works God wants us to practice are, caring for others, loving others, and treating others with respect. Not just the people we like but also the people who don't believe in the same things we do and even the people we don't like. This is why we should be aware of how our actions align with our words. It can be easy to say and talk a certain way about others, but do our actions support our words?
How can you become more like Jesus today? How can you be more like Jesus in living out your purpose?
