Good friends are one of the most valuable gifts we can ever receive. People who are there in the good times and bad. Friends who forgive and answer when we call. As much as we love a good friend, how much are we willing to do to become a good friend to others?
True generosity almost always shows up in our friendships. It's like watering and caring for a plant — it leads to growth. Today's passage says, "Be devoted to one another in love." Sometimes, it's hard to give what we have away, but giving to friends is a great place to start. Practicing actions like celebrating friends when they succeed — even if it was the opportunity you wanted — or forgiving friends when they fall short are examples of how to give to others like Jesus.
What can you give to a friend today? Encouragement? Something tangible? An opportunity? Get creative!
