Psalms: Window to Our Souls, Part 2Sample

There are two movements in this Psalm. The first is for David personally (v.1-2), and the second is for the nation of Israel (v.3). In both movements, the theme is to humbly trust in God, for this is what David has learned to do through his own relationship with God. The question for us is the same: can you trust the Lord with everything that you already know about Him? How easy or difficult is this for you to do?
Out of all the areas in your life, what is the hardest part to completely give to God? Is it your career, finances, relationships, entertainment, or education? Is it something else that might be challenging you?
After you find your own time and place of humility before God (v.1-2), who can you encourage in the same way that God has comforted you? How can you be an example of someone who has already "counted the cost" (Luke 14:28) to follow God?
