Psalms: Window to Our Souls, Part 2Sample

Fairness is an admirable trait that is emphasized in communities and in families. It is also an essential quality in establishing and maintaining relationships. However, when it comes to the forgiveness of sin, our God demonstrated the ultimate "unfairness" by having His sinless Son take the punishment for the sins of all humankind. In fact, even now, if God "kept records on wrongdoings," no one would "stand a chance" (Psalm 130:3, The Message). Therefore, while fairness is indeed great and good, God's mercy is greater and better.
