People that have been friends for a long time get to experience their friendship with one another in different ways. There are times when friends can have fun and laugh together, times when they help each other during tough seasons and times when they celebrate good things in each other’s lives. Friends like this grow to know each other more and more through all those different experiences. God is with us through all the seasons of our life. We can come to God in prayer in good times, tough times, and everything in between. Through all the seasons we grow to know God in new and different ways. The closer we grow towards God, the closer He comes near to us. God doesn’t go running at the first sign of trouble—we can pray and talk to Him about anything. What an amazing promise that when we come to God, no matter what, He will never send us away. He’s not afraid of our big feelings, our fears, or worries. Nothing is too big or too small for God.

We all grow and change—it’s part of life! You won’t stay the same age you are now. You’ll grow older, learn more and discover the world. As we grow, we can discover more about God as we experience Him in our lives. We can learn more about God’s love, grace, kindness, and goodness when we see Him at work in our lives if we seek Him and grow to know Him more.
