VoicesSample

This past week we’ve talked about how to hear God’s voice: through the Bible, the words of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and spending time close to God.
But there’s still a big question: why would we want to choose God’s voice over all others?
Sometimes the voices around us seem appealing: popularity, people reassuring our insecurities, and momentary satisfaction from following what’s cool or trendy. But in the long run, all of the things around us will leave us empty. Trends change, peoples’ opinions change, and even our feelings lie.
Following God’s voice is always the best choice because it is unchanging. God loves us, always. He knows what’s best for us no matter what. His voice is the one speaking the truth all the time, not just telling us what we want to hear.
Following God’s voice isn’t always the easiest option. It will make us stand out and look unpopular at times. But in the end, it’s worth it. Because we are following the voice of the one who never changes, following his voice is always best.
Challenge: Keep the momentum going. Gind another Bible Reading Plan to start today, or choose a book of the Bible read! Keep spending time with God each day so you can hear his voice above all others.
