When Jesus was walking on the earth people flocked around him to hear what he had to say. They knew that Jesus’ voice was one teaching truth, love, grace, and forgiveness. But after Jesus left the earth, he promised that the Holy Spirit would come to live inside every person who trusts him.
Jesus isn’t physically on the planet anymore, so we can’t audibly hear him speak. But, we do have the Holy Spirit within us to talk to us, guide us, and show us what’s right and wrong. Listening to the Holy Spirit can be hard at first. We have to quiet ourselves and listen to the nudging and quiet prompts he gives us.
He’s always with us. We have to listen.
Challenge: Take a moment of silence today to sit in the Spirit's presence. If you feel him or hear him telling you something, write it down, so you remember it! Thank the Holy Spirit for always being with you.
