Never Alone - The Holy Spirit in us Jesus is talking about the Holy Spirit in this passage. The Holy Spirit comes to help us in so many ways. He is the Spirit of truth, our Advocate, Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Guide, Intercessor, Strengthener, and Friend. He teaches and reminds us what Jesus has already done and spoken. He seals us as belonging to Christ. And the best part is- this friend is with us forever and never leaves us! It is the promise of Jesus that He will not leave us as orphans, forsaken or alone. You can build a relationship with the Holy Spirit, living in the awareness of His presence within you, just as you would build a relationship with another person. When you acknowledge that He is with you and speak to and hear from Him, you befriend and honour him. Allow Him to speak to you. He knows the best for you. Wait to hear His guidance. This is the best gift you can ever get after the gift of salvation.
