Jesus Changes Everything. Sample

Because Jesus Changes Everything - Everywhere we hunger to share Jesus
In the passage today, we see Paul's hunger for the gospel of Christ. Paul writes about his unwavering appetite to "win as many as possible." He almost seems borderline crazy about Jesus! Can you relate to this crazy?
What I find so fascinating is the very next paragraph. Paul exhorts the reader to self-discipline. Yes, there is an urgency and winsomeness to our call to share Jesus, but there is also a call to train with discipline and focus. We aren't to run like a chicken with our heads cut off; on the contrary, we are to run the race Jesus has called us to run, a race that is set upon the foundation of his grace and mercy. A race that he has completed for us! Yet in this race, we are “to become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some." This is our calling. We are hungry runners!
Can you relate to this hunger to share Christ? What is it that causes us to lose this appetite? What causes us to become complacent and to "forsake our first love"? (Revelation 2:4) - Logan Beardsley
