It’s easy to feel alone or lonely especially when things get tough. The promise that God is always near is comforting; we don’t have to wonder if he is there – all we must do is call on him. His nearness is a promise of companionship and reminds us that we don’t have to walk alone.

Scripture reminds us of the truth. It’s so easy to get tangled in the lies of the world or even the lies in our own minds, but knowing scripture can combat the lies and replace them with truth. Scripture is God’s Word and tells us who God is and what he cares about. When we memorize scripture, we know more about the character and person of God.

1. Write the verse on your bathroom mirror and read it out loud every time you see it.
2. Make the verse your phone lock screen and read it every time you see it.
