Transition = Facing Change Head-On!

DAY 10 OF 11

MOVING DAY IS HERE, THE MOVE IS REAL

Moving day had finally arrived! My husband and I always helped each other. Without him meant I had to step up to the plate. Transition and change forces you to do things you have never done prior!

As we were unpacking, I noticed a lady backing out of her driveway across the street. She stopped when she was beside the moving POD and introduced herself.

God was in that, because one of the items on my list was that I had friendly neighbors and wow, did He provide me with the best!

My first night alone in my new condo had arrived. That night I asked God to be my watchman, because I certainly wasn’t brave. God miraculously removed my fears of being alone. I don’t know how it happened or when, but the adjustment was smooth.

“So, if sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask Him?” Matthew 7:11

I knew I had to find a church. I had spent time researching various churches.Oddly, I found myself driving to the one that was my second choice.

I parked the car and laid my forehead on the steering wheel and wept. “Oh God, I don’t know if I can do this. Dan and I always were together. I don’t know a soul. God, I’m going to wipe my tears and walk in, but I beg You to have someone waiting at the door to welcome me. I ask that I feel welcomed and then I will know this is where You want me, Lord.”

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you [who are willing to learn] with My eye upon you.” Psalm 32:8

I got to the door and didn’t even have to open it. Two people were standing there with big smiles! Right away, one asked my name and another one asked me to follow them as they took me on a short tour of the church. She then introduced to me to a few people in the lobby and escorted me to where I wanted to sit. As I was taking my jacket off and looked up, sitting beside me was Dan’s cousin. It was God gently transitioning me into not only my home, but into my new church family!
