Come and See

Jesus made a way for us to be forgiven and have eternal life. This message of Jesus is not something for us to keep to ourselves. The heart of Christ is that the Gospel message would always be a COME AND SEE / GO AND TELL message!! Come and see what God can do in your life – experience life change --  then go and tell someone else so they can experience the very thing you just experienced! Commit to be the COME AND SEE / GO AND TELL message of Jesus and invite, invite, invite!!

"And Jesus came and said to them, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.'" -- Matt. 28:18-20

We are all called to share our faith with those around us. God has placed you right where you are right now in life to affect those around you with the light of the Gospel. We all know coworkers, neighbors, friends, and even family who need to know Jesus and be plugged into a life-giving church. This plan was created to help you do that in your everyday life. Throughout we’ll challenge you to take the next step in sharing your faith and offer practical steps for doing so. And we’ll ask questions for you to reflect on to help you prepare to share your faith whenever the opportunity arises.

In today’s bible reading, Philip was ready to be obedient when God gave him an opportunity to witness. In this one story, a person’s life was forever changed because Philip was a witness! Over the next few weeks, as you faithfully complete the challenges, God is going to give you an opportunity to play a pivotal role in someone’s story of life-change, just like Philip was to this man! Are you ready to accept the assignment?

Challenge:  

• Spend 10 minutes each day praying that God would align the right people for you to witness to. Then, after you're done praying, write down the names of 5 people who don’t know Jesus. 


• Look at this story in Acts 8. What was Philip equipped with to share his faith? (verse 35) 


• Practice sharing your story and the Good News to a mirror, your spouse, or a friend.
