Too Good Not to ShareSample

We’ve started to pray and invest, but now it’s time to take relationships a step further as we tell others about Jesus. 

Step 3 is to INVITE. You have made your lists, prayed for those people, intentionally invested in those relationships, and now it’s time to look for an opportunity to INVITE them to see Jesus for themselves. 

Philip was one of Jesus’ disciples. One of the interesting things about Philip was that Philip immediately thought about his friend Nate on the day he met Jesus. We read about his story in John 1:43-46. Philip thought of his friend Nate, a relationship I imagine he had invested some time in already. I  love that even when Nate pushes back a little, Philip doesn’t argue with him or get mad because Nate doesn’t believe him. Instead, he simply invites Nate to come and see Jesus for himself. That is as easy as it can be for you and the relationships you are praying for and investing in as well. 

Look for an opportunity to invite your friends or family members to church. Christmas is an excellent time of year when people seem more willing to go to church when asked. There are other great times as well. Maybe Easter or during a special series at church!

Challenge: Start with one name on your list and PRAY that God would help them understand his truth, INVEST intentionally and creatively in those relationships, and INVITE them to a place or a conversation where they can see Jesus for themselves. This Good News about Jesus is too good not to share with those in your life. God tells us to go and share. You got this—one step at a time.
