Too Good Not to Share

DAY 2 OF 5

What’s a food that you really don’t like? If someone gave you that specific food and you chose to share it with someone else, does that make you a good sharer? Probably not… Sharing something that doesn’t mean anything to you isn’t really sharing at all. You see, something is sharable when it is important to us or when it matters.

When it comes to sharing the Good News about Jesus, we share it because it is important to us and to whom we share it. We read about that yesterday. Today, we will look at a group of people who were at the worst point in their lives yet still shared the Good News about Jesus wherever they went. It’s an incredible example and challenge to us as we go into our daily lives and routines.

In Acts 8, the believers had to run for their lives, leave their homes, jobs, and community because of their faith in Jesus. They were being hunted down and killed just because they believed in Jesus. I can’t even imagine this happening to my family and me. And you know what they did? It says they shared the Good News of Jesus wherever they went. The Good News of Jesus was too good not to share with everyone they met. They wanted others to enjoy the goodness that could only be found in a right relationship with God through Jesus. That truth was way more important than their circumstances.

Challenge: Take a few minutes to make another list. This time, think about people who have shared something with you. Something they enjoy, an accomplishment, success, whatever good news they chose to share with you. Once you have a few people written down, ask why they would share that news with you. Then take a few seconds to pray and thank God for them.

About this Plan

Too Good Not to Share

When's the last time you experienced something that you just had to share with a friend? We do this with movies, food, and vacations. But, what if I told you there was something else that is too good not to share? Jesus! Now, talking about Jesus can be scary or we might not know what to say. In this plan, we'll look at how to share Jesus with others.
