The Confidence Cornerstone

DAY 5 OF 5

Unshakable Confidence Grows Through Faith

Faith in God is absolutely necessary to develop unshakable confidence. As we get to know God’s character, His promises, and His purposes, our faith grows, and our confidence quickly follows. But it requires great intentionality. After all, the world bombards us with messages to distract us from God and His power in our lives. The best offense against those distractions is making a commitment to prayer and studying God’s Word daily.

The idea of studying the entire Bible once seemed like an overwhelming undertaking to me. That changed when I participated in a Bible study covering both the Old and the New Testaments with a small group led by a knowledgeable teacher. That study helped me gain the perspective I needed to realize the whole Bible points to Jesus. I found myself falling in love with God’s Word. John 1 tells us that Jesus is the Word made flesh. Reading God’s Word helps you understand God’s character, His promises, and His great love for us.

It’s easy to be in awe of great human leaders. Unlike some of those people you may admire, Jesus wants a personal relationship with you. He is always available and wants you to turn to Him for wisdom and guidance. Unlike people who have achieved great things in the world, God created the world, and He created you.

Here are some ways you can grow in your understanding and love for God’s Word.

  1. Read: Make time to read God’s Word as you start each day.

  2. Journal: Journal about any verse or verses that speak to you to gain further insight.

  3. Pray: Pray God’s Word over your goals and challenges.

  4. Study: Start or join a Bible study group where you can learn from God’s Word and each other.

Studying God’s Word in community is a powerful way to ensure you have accountability while also boosting your growth. Find resources to get you started at Womeninmarketplace.net where you can download your own Confidence Action Plan.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I long for a deeper relationship with You. Help me to draw closer to You through Your Word. Help me to hear Your voice and walk with You in my work and all of life daily. I am committed to growing my confidence in who You created me to be so my work brings You glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
