TRUST + HEAVENLY PERSPECTIVE

If there is one thing that I have learnt over my 25 years (quarter of a century, might I add), it’s that life is a journey navigated by faith, not by sight. Which can be difficult at times, especially if you love being over every detail of what’s going on and what’s coming up next. Yet when you take a step back and look at it from a heavenly perspective, it’s quite incredible! You can trust your life with the God who created the heavens and the earth, who is all knowing and all powerful, who has GOOD plans for you (Jeremiah 29:11), who loves you. He is our safest place, our refuge.  

When Moses and the Israelites were cornered in by Pharaoh’s army, it looked like there was no way out for them. The Israelites were questioning Moses and questioning God. On the outside it looked like there was no hope. God told Moses to raise his rod and stretch out his hand over the sea to divide the water (Exodus 14:16).  There will be times in life where it looks like there is no hope. Can I remind you today of the God we serve? Lift up your eyes to the Lord. Nothing is impossible for God! 

Does this mean that God will always make an easy path out every time? No, not necessarily. The Apostle James wrote to consider it pure joy when you face troubles of many kinds (James 1:3). 

I find it so refreshing and impacting to consistently take on a heavenly perspective. 

John 16:3 – “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Note how Jesus says “IN ME” you will have peace. 

As you read these scriptures, be encouraged that God is in control. We get to trust God. How wonderful, how beautiful. He has you in the palms of his hands.
