WAY IN THE WILDERNESS + RIVERS IN THE DESERT

What a great visualization of what God is doing! Making a way where there seems to be no way. Have you even tried to drive (or be a passenger) down a road that is blocked? There is absolutely no way through. Then the lovely traffic controller comes out and holds up the ‘SLOW’ sign. A way was made, the waiting was over. 

God is saying he is making a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. 

WILDERNESS means an uncultivated, uninhabited, and inhospitable region.

DESERT means a barren area, little precipitation occurs and living conditions are hostile.

Is there an area in your life or in your heart that you deem as wilderness or desert like? That you have placed in the ‘too hard’ category. There are many times that I have done this. Yet nothing is too difficult for God! He is saying “I will make a way”. He doesn’t say “you will have to try make a way on your own” or “rely on the ways of this world”. No! He says “I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” He is making a way and has already made a way! He made a way by sending Jesus Christ. 

What we see as weakness, he sees as strength. What we see as empty, he overflows. What we see as broken, he sees as whole. Can I encourage you and remind you to readjust your focus, even if it’s just slightly. Sometimes we need a reset of our perspective of God. You can trust him! If you’re feeling like you’re in the wilderness, God is making a way. Look to him, cling to the word of God. If you’re in a season of waiting (for whatever that might be) it’s time to turn your trust on. Imagine your flicking on a switch in your heart to trust in God.
