Unfair?! An Introduction to HabakkukSample

For many British people, the road to freedom from lockdown restrictions led to the pub for a pint. For many in the world as a whole, their gods are their bellies. For many people, their life philosophy is to 'eat, drink and be merry, because tomorrow we die'.
It's pretty short sighted to just look out for physical gratification, because even though our bodies give up, our souls endure; either in eternal glory or everlasting shame.
Many people glory in their shame, and the shenanigans of the night before their hangovers. But God defines what is glorious and what is shameful, not us. God will shame those who glory in shameful things.
We get so easily distracted by mammon/wealth/stuff. But all that will pass away whilst the Lord endures forever. He is on the throne of the universe, so we would do well to seriously consider our standing before Him.
'Lord, when You speak Your judgement over us, the time for excuses will be over, the time for silence before You will have come. Have mercy upon us, in Christ's name, amen.'
How is your relationship with God? Do you need to be reconciled to Him?

About this Plan

It's not just small children that moan 'not fair'! Even as adults we struggle with injustice (or if we're honest, just not getting our own ways!). Habakkuk was no exception, and God graciously answered him. Let's dive in to his book to grasp the depths of God's reply to the question of injustice.
