Sun of Righteousness

Malachi 4:2

But to you who fear My name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings; And you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves.

Through Malachi, God described the Sun of Righteousness. The One described as the “Sun of Righteousness” is no other than Jesus Christ!

With light, we can see things better. This is how Jesus works. His light will make sense out of things. Jesus gives light to the darkness of our lives. 

Darkness can be dangerous. Without light, we can’t see the path in front of us thus, we might trip, bump into things, and fall. Just like the sun that gives us light, the light of Jesus makes us able to see things in life clearly, and thus, He guards us against falling.

This verse also says that Jesus brings healing. Jesus is a great healer. With His power, there is no sickness, pain, or sorrow that He cannot heal. He is able to heal!

When Jesus sacrificed Himself on the cross, He took up our pain and bore our suffering.  By His wounds, we are healed. Let’s praise Him and give thanks to Him, Jesus, the Sun of Righteousness.

Prayer

Dear Jesus, thank You for the healing, the hope, and the joy I have from You. I praise You Jesus, the Sun of Righteousness. Amen.
