Day One - I Can Make Good Choices

Welcome to our devotional, we are so happy that you are here with us. We believe that just like a caterpillar changes into a butterfly, we can all grow and change as we become more like Jesus by shaking off the old and stepping into the new. 

Let's journey through the Bible to discover how we were created by God, unique and with purpose. In addition, we will dig into Jonah's story and discover how God makes a way for this fishy prophet to make better choices.

This week we are going to be looking at how we all can make good choices. 

READ: Jonah chapter one

What happens in this scripture? Jonah tried to run away from God and tried to go somewhere else. 

Do you think Jonah was doing the right thing by running away from God? Well, unless being swallowed by a big fish means he was headed in the right direction!

ASK:

Do you think that Jonah was able to run away from God? 

Talk to someone about this - what else could have Jonah done? 

REMEMBER:

Isaiah 43:19:

"Look at the new thing I am going to do.

It is already happening. Don’t you see it?

I will make a road in the desert.

I will make rivers in the dry land."

SAY:

Thank you, Lord, that you have created me uniquely and wonderfully.  

Help me to love you and everyone you have placed in my life and 

to become more like you every day - in Jesus' name - Amen.
