Bible Explorer for the Young (Isaiah - Part 1)

DAY 2 OF 13

Be Full of God, Not of Yourself

Isaiah 2:17

"At that time, proud people will stop being proud. They will bow low with shame. And at that time, only the Lord will be praised."

The tall and strong cedars of Lebanon that can grow up to 40m and the oaks of Bashan that are known for their great and mighty strength will become nothing if God decides to bring them down. God can destroy even the tallest mountain, the highest tower and hill, and the strongest ship with only one tiny snap!

This is how easy God can bring down the proud, arrogant and boastful people on earth. All their wealth, power, success and money will become nothing and zero when God interferes to bring them low.

All of the people’s accomplishments will be nothing compared to what God establishes on earth and in heaven. Acknowledge God in all of your success. Praise God for all your accomplishments. Give all the glory to God for all the wealth and blessings that you are enjoying right now.

As a child of God, being proud and boastful is not supposed to be on our list because it is a sin. Proud and boastful people are full of themselves, while humble people are full of God. People’s power is limited, while God’s is limitless.

Prayer

Dear God, forgive me if I still have a sense of arrogance in my heart. Teach and guide me to always be full of You in my life. Amen.
