Everything’s a Gift - We always celebrate and practice thankfulness!  We choose to focus on how great God is,  are thankful for everything in our lives, and for the people around us.   

READ:

Read the Story of Elisha’s Room in any Children's Bible or in 2 Kings 4:8-17 (ICB)

Elisha’s friends were so kind and loving - they made him feel so welcome in their home. 

Making a room in your house for someone is a very kind and special thing to do. 

ASK:

Elisha’s friends had not only made room for Elisha in their home, but they had made room for him in their hearts also.  They loved God and they loved Elisha. 

When we love our family and friends we are making room for them in our hearts. God has given us all big hearts to love Him and others. 

Ask your grown up to help you look for Matthew 22:37-39 in your Bible.

Love God and love others. Being thankful to God and others helps us to keep loving them. 

Who can you be thankful for today?  Maybe you could let them know you are thankful for them? 

REMEMBER:

Psalm 9:1 

I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart;  I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.

SAY:

My God is good, 

He is awesome and great.

He helps me be strong,

Even when I’m afraid. 

I will say thank you,

For all He has done.

For me and my people, 

He loves everyone.
