40 Days to Heal a Nation’s Racial DivideSample

Day 25 Family and Favoritism
Favoritism. Partiality. Prejudice. James 2:1-9 makes the case that these postures do not belong in the family of God. We are not to treat others differently because of their financial status and certainly not to treat them less than because of color or hue. We are to love others as ourselves.
ACTION: How has favoritism shaped your blood family? Faith family? How does it feed into racism? What can you do today to hit the reset button and choose to no longer partner with favoritism and prejudice, according to God’s Word?
PRAYER
Father, please forgive me for operating in favoritism and prejudice, and please help me reset. Holy Spirit, please shine truth so that I can see where I’ve been blind and call me out so that I can change. Thank You for safety and protection, in Jesus’ Name.
