COVID-19/PSALM 91: 7 Keys to Conquering Fear

Day 6 of 7 • This day’s reading

Devotional

Things look better from above

We are nearing the end of this series about COVID-19 vs. Psalm 91.

“You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.”

(Psalm 91:13-14)

When I was little, I loved visiting places with my father. I remember that one day, I went to visit the Torre de Moncloa, a scenic viewpoint located in the north of Madrid. I remember taking the glass elevator and going up to the top floor… we could see all of Madrid from there. I loved that place! I could see the majority of the buildings in the city and appreciate their details from a new perspective.

This is just what the Lord does when we trust in His name. He lifts us up above our circumstances. In the midst of the fears and bad news surrounding you, He wants you to see things from a new perspective; the perspective of His love. God’s love sets you free from fear!

Yes, dear friend, God loves you, and He wants you to tread upon the heads of snakes and lions that want to devour you! Rise up today with strength, shake the fear from your life, and begin to confess with your lips God’s victory over COVID-19.

I invite you to pray with me now: “Lord, thank You for Your incredible victory! In the midst of the fears, the economic difficulties, and the disease that’s attacking the world, I confess that You are the King, that You have overcome, and I rise up in faith. Whatever happens, I decide to trust You and Your victory in my life. Thank You, my Lord!”

You are a miracle!
