In the fifth chapter of the book of Revelation, an angel holds a scroll and asks, who is worthy to break the seal and open the scroll? The writer weeps because no one in heaven or on earth is worthy to read it. Then, an elder tells him the Lion of Judah has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seals. Then, as a lamb, He holds the scrolls and is praised by heaven.
The lion and the lamb; two distinct images of Jesus and revealing of the singular place Jesus holds. There’s nobody else like Jesus, the highest name of heaven.
