DAY 15 OF 40

God | God Is Faithful

What does it mean when someone says that God is faithful? The word faithful means full of faith. Faith means trust, which stems from the word true. You trust someone because he tells you the truth. If a salesman is talking to you and you discover he hasn’t been telling you the truth, you stop trusting him. If you have a teenager who doesn’t tell the truth, then he is not worthy of trust. Faith and trust are both based on truth.

The reason why many people don’t have faith is because they don’t know the character of God. They don’t know if they can trust Him or not. But in John, Jesus calls Himself the Truth. If God is Truth, then we also know that He is faithful.

We wrestle with fear, anxiety, worry, depression and discouragement because we don’t believe in God’s faithfulness. When you finally catch a glimpse of just how faithful God is, you’re able to walk and live in peace. God’s faithfulness is your foundation for peace. The greatest enemy of fear is the faithfulness of God.

If you trust God, you can have faith in Him. And when you have in faith in God, you know what He says is true. The more you get to know God, the more faith will fill your heart. Do you desire to live and walk in peace? Start trusting God today. He is faithful. He will never let you down.

Memory Verse

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7–8
