GO2020 | ENGAGE: January Week 2 - WORDSample

January 22
Read
Philippians 2:5-11
Reflect
Today’s passage helps us understand the wonder of the eternal God becoming a limited, finite man. Jesus humbled himself in order to free us from being trapped in our sin and condemned to death. Because of his obedience, we are free to enjoy a lifetime—and eternity—in fellowship with our loving God.
Engage
Read today’s Scripture passage. Say or write it out in your own words, considering the following questions.
· What does it say about God?
· What does it say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Now read this week’s memory verse, John 17:3. Spend a few minutes working to memorize it.

About this Plan

What is the good news? Jesus offered his followers a full and fulfilling life, one that would not only last into eternity, but have eternal significance. He called it an “abundant” life, and he claimed that he was the only source of that life.
