River Valley Church SOAP -Part 1Sample

The last part of Matthew's account ends with Jesus' death and resurrection. He has his final meal with his disciples where he reveals that his death will bring freedom from sin and ultimately death. He is then wrongfully tried and sentenced to death. Matthew portrays this not as failure but as a necessary sacrifice that fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies. Jesus rises from the dead and gives his disciples the "Great Commission", telling them to preach the good news that He (Jesus) is King over all.
About this Plan

SOAP is the daily devotional plan at River Valley Church. SOAP is a simple process that includes reading a selected passage of Scripture, writing down an Observation or two, committing to an Application, and engaging in Prayer. This is a 12 part devotional plan throughout the entire year and we recommend starting with part 1.
