#JESUS2019 - Daily DevotionalsSample

Lazarus is dead! What terrible news. His family and friends are devastated. How could God allow that? Why didn´t he do anything? They had prayed and they had a strong believe that Jesus would heal him, why didn´t he come? Now it's over, now it's too late for everything. Now, not even God can do anything –
Stop! Marta is obviously already one step ahead. Nothing is impossible with Jesus. Are we aware of that? God's possibilities are far beyond our imagination. Who would have seriously expected God to solve the situation by bringing Lazarus back to life? Honestly, we would probably have given up any hope. There is nothing left. And what is God doing? For him, that has been the plan the whole time, he was not desperate when Lazarus died. He knows that Lazarus will continue to live. In our opinion, this miracle is unbelievably great, but for God it was just part of his plan.
I know how hard it is to trust something that is physically impossible in purely physical terms, but in situations that seem so hopeless to us, we need to remember who God is. He is the Creator of the Universe, who has given us life, and can take it anytime again, the one who healed diseases and even defeated death. If anyone can act in these situations, then God!
ACTION STEP:
If you are in a situation that seems hopeless to you, consider if there is a solution that you just cannot see. Decide if you want to trust that God already has a solution.
