Enemies of the Heart

Anger  

Another enemy of the heart we need to watch in our own lives is anger. Anger communicates, “You owe me!” Angry people are hurt people. Somewhere along the way, someone took something from them, and they feel someone owes them payback. The solution to anger is forgiveness. 

Forgiveness recognizes that something may have been taken from you, but that person doesn't owe you anymore. Jesus paid a debt for us that we could never pay ourselves and first forgave us, so that in return, we can forgive others. Forgiveness is drinking poison someone may have given you and hoping they will die from it. 

Goal:

Are you holding anger and unforgiveness toward someone today? Is there someone you need to forgive? Don't let the enemy of anger destroy your destiny; live in freedom, live in forgiveness!
